Shanter H. Alexander is a professor of psychology, nationally certified school psychologist/autism specialist. She is a sought after psycho-educational consultant and motivational speaker, who works with families, educators and various professional and community organizations to empower lives for hope-filled living.
Shanter began her career as a high school English Teacher and subsequently transitioned to school guidance counseling. She holds a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Education and a minor in Communication Studies. Her masters degree in Educational Psychology was completed in 2009 followed by an Ed.S in School Psychology from Andrews University in 2012. Ms. Alexander has served over fifteen (15) years in the fields of education and psychology and is currently in the final stages of completion of her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.
Shanter’s professional interests include autism and executive dysfunction secondary to neuro-developmental disorders. Shanter is passionate about her work and is committed to empowering children with disabilities to experience the best that life has to offer.
Shanter hails originally from the beautiful island of St. Lucia and currently resides in Berrien Springs Michigan. She is bilingual (French Creole and English) and enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, loud ridiculous laughter and the simple pleasure of a hot cup of tea at the end of a long day. J
